In
collaboration with Rotary Club of Chembur, Dignity
Foundation staff and Members took a Walk in Chembur
on the evening of Sept 21, to register support
for people suffering from Alzheimer’s and
the consequent memory loss.
“Alzheimer’s” Memory
loss can happen to anyone.
We wish to awaken your members about this ailment"
As part of our nation-wide commitment to provide
support and care to persons afflicted with this
dreadful disease of the brain, we also deliver
lectures in various Fora outlining the features
of the ailment and how stealthily the disease
enters a family. And what curative measures exist
to treat the disease. Importantly how a Day care
Centre, like the one in Dignity Foundation premises
in Topiwala Lane, can bring about quality life
to members.
Alzheimer's disease and the related dementias
are chronic progressive diseases and ultimately
fatal. Dementia is a permanent, progressive disease
that affects mostly people after 55 years.
Alzheimer’s Disease results from the death
of nerve cells and/or the loss of communication
among these cells. Currently there is no proven
way to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease. |
