Dignity Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. It is also a Public Trust registered with the Charity Commissioner of Mumbai.

At Dignity Foundation we define ‘Advocacy’ as the act of pleading for, supporting, or recommending policies and action that benefit the larger community of senior citizens in India.

In 2007 one more facility was set up under the name Dignity Homes. Fully sponsored by a well wisher, Dignity Homes, Mira Road started functioning from June 1st 2007.

In line with Dignity Foundation's practice of providing structural opportunities to senior citizens for productive ageing, an Action Plan was worked out in February 1998 with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

A person who is 50+ believes in the dignity of ageing. He/She is not looking for name, fame, money or position, but is one who believes in holding his/her head high in society, not dependent on anybody.
