Dignity  Dialogue   magazine  was   
the  first  step  towards launching  
the   Foundation.   On    April    29,
1995   then   the   Chief   Election 
Commissioner,      T.N.       Seshan, 
launched    the    magazine    and  
recounted  to   a  large  audience 
the   perils   and   joys  of growing 
old.   Ninety  three  year  old   M.P.
Gandhi and sixty year old   Shipra   
Roy Choudhary received citations  
for  their  productive  contribution
to   the    cause    of   Ageing    with 
Dignity.  Performances     by     the
veteran artistes,  dancer  Mrinalini
Sarabhai  and  singer  Shaukat  Ali 
Beg   completed   an   evening  of 
celebration   of   AGE.
